October 31, 2023The majority of white blood cells, or “neutrophils,” are neutrophilic granulocytes. A vital part of the immune system is neutrophils. They react to many forms of inflammation and bacterial infections.
Neutrophils leak from blood vessels during an infection as a result of substances secreted at the infection site. Neutrophils make up the majority of the pus that we see in a wound.
High level:
- Leukocytosis
Low level:
- Continuous catching diseases
What you should do:
High levels:
Take antibiotics and get a bone marrow transplant.
Low levels:
Get a white blood cell transfusion and take antibiotics or drugs that promote white blood cell production.
